life stuff

Stress. It's settled in nicely the past few weeks. Who doesn't have stress though, right?! I am not complaining...just sharing. With a wedding, papers, tests, a fiancee who is MIA and more knots in my back then worth counting anymore, life's a bit hectic. I am sure you can relate. If it's not school, it kids, a career, housework, and on and on the list of things to do goes.

I randomly pulled a book off my shelf earlier this week and came upon this passage (for those of you who have been reading this blog since spain, I am referring to the book I raved about, Cold Tangerines.):

"I don't want to wait anymore. I choose to believe that there is nothing more sacred or profound that this day. I choose to believe that there may be a thousand big moments embedded in this day, waiting to be discovered like tiny shards of gold. The big moments are the daily, tiny moments of courage and forgiveness and hope that we grab on to and extend to one another. That's the drama of life, swirling around us, and generally I don't even see it, because I am too busy waiting to become whatever it is I think I am about to become. The big moments are in every hour, every conversation, every meal, every meeting."

Now...if we could all really just take that to heart. ahh...
