What a special weekend to spend with some great people! Congrats to Andy and Linds. We were blessed to be a part of your special day! Drew and I flew in to Milwaukee on Friday and Steph and Jord picked us up. After a 4 hour drive to the cabin, we were in Minocqua, WI for the special day. We had a blast at The Thirsty Whale restaurant on Friday night and then a relaxing sun-filled Saturday before getting ready for the wedding. We headed back after breakfast was provided by the Hutchison's at 9am. Back at home now with the pups and our schedules!

sewing...a new hobby

I decided that I needed and wanted to develop a hobby because I live with a man full of them! After researching sewing a bit and remembering how fun it was as a little girl to help my Oma sew, I decided in order to do it I needed my own machine. Last Saturday I went to Target and bought my first Singer Sewing Machine! I had a blast in JoAnne Fabrics looking at all the different fabrics, buttons, threads, patterns...  So far I have made 4 pillow cases and 1 pillow. Next I hope to get started on drapes for the bedrooms and front window!
I inherited 4 pillows from Joel and Gina's moving sale...so now our guests finally have pillows!
It was definitely an experiment as I didn't follow a pattern.
Handmade flowers and pillow (16"x16"). So much fun!

Flatirons

Last Sunday, Drew and I went on a hike in Boulder at the Flatirons. Of course, we took the dog and had to rest for 30 minutes at the top so she could catch her breath. It was beautiful!

goodbye to Suzy (the Isuzu)

One of the more difficult things Drew has had to do in sometime...say goodbye to his machine. The Isuzu's transmission blew about 3 weeks ago. Drew posted it on Craig's list yesterday and got 1 hit within 10 minutes. The guy was at our house within 40 minutes, and after frantically looking for the key and finding it in the couch, she was sold!

You will first notice the strange layout with the cluster in the middle.
