1148 S Fillmore.

I decided to take a couple of pictures of the outside of our little home! So, we are in a light blue bungalow in a great neighborhood. We feel very blessed to be here. So, the pictures speak for themselves except the last 2. I tried to get back in the house after the "home photoshoot", and it turns out I locked the door behind me...without a key...40 degrees out and sunny...praise the Lord. Drew was in a meeting, so I went to Carol (my super 50 year old neighbor who's brought us banana bread, a kahlua cake, bottle of wine, guacamole...) to leave Drew a message. I then took a short walk around the house and when I turned the corner I saw the "big blue" (Royal Crest truck). yay! He had to come home for his lunch anyway, so I didn't feel too bad. until the next time.

our landlord is re-seeding the backyard and doing some other things to it in the spring.

the move...the house...

Hey everyone!! It's here...a long-awaited update on Drew and me...along with some pictures of our new home!! Let's start at the very beginning: Drew and I moved out west after a few days after our honeymoon. We got postponed waiting for a U-haul and tying up some loose ends. It was actually quite a blessing to have those few days to say our goodbye's and what not.

It took us about 24 hours to get out to Denver because we stopped at a Sleep in at about 3am to get some rest. Drew had been driving the entire time (pobrecito)...although I do take pride in the fact that I stayed up with him all but 2 hours of our trip!!

We arrived at our destination at 9pm the following day--this being the home of our friends, Joel & Gina Malefyt. Although J& G were more than willing to keep their home open to us for as long as we needed, Drew and I didn't want to have to unpack our U-haul (5' x 8' piled with a desk, chair, sofa, other chair, all our wedding gifts, a dresser and much more!), re-pack a week or so later, and then unpack again. It just didn't seem like the greatest start to our married life.

So, after searching the internet and making a few calls...we found the PERFECT home for rent! It has 2 br's, 1 bath, a large kitchen, a fenced-in backyard, a front porch... All the walls were white and Drew said he felt like he was living in an Assylum, so we did up the kitchen this past weekend "Alfalfa Green".
living room
our first few nights...no dining room table...no TV...just some wine and a really awful meal!

painting away.

the kitchen leads to an addition...laundry room, 4 foot wall, then a "study"

our bedroom.
the kitchen. new table and bench (thanks Target!)

bathroom. it's small, but I think my fav. is the pink tile on the wall and the sink that will forever be clogged!!
