I am not sure that anyone is checking my blog anymore since I am back in the states. To wrap up Spain: I had a wonderful experience!! I would do it all over again if I had the chance. Since I have been back, I have been seeing many friends, spending great quality time with my family (sister, nieces, cousins...) and loving every moment! I have been taking nice walks with Winston, our dog, and actually took him to the vet this morning. That was an experience. He was so excited to see all the other dogs and I could hardly control him. Yes, my dog is the one that growls, barks, pulls at his leash, doesn't step on the scale so I have to lift him on it, makes me look like I don't have a CLUE what I am doing type of dog. Good times.
The really big news though is that I AM ENGAGED!! Sunday, May 25th was the big day. I had NO IDEA it was happening; however, everyone else seemed to know about it for quite some time now. I am very proud of mom and especially dad for keeping the secret! Props to them.
We went for Sunday lunch at mom and dad De Vries's house and then for a motorcycle ride. As we were driving in to our favorite Park, Spring Grove Park in Jamestown, I saw a sign that said EVIE. My first thought was, "hmm...there are not many Evie's around. That's cute for that girl." And then I saw another sign that said WILL and then YOU and then MARRY ME? At every sign I said, "What? Is this for me?!?!? NO WAY!!" Well, it was. Drew parked the bike and we jumped off. He got down on his knee and popped the question. I think I had already said yes! We celebrated at my parent's house with the families and cake and beers.
I am so thrilled about it though!! The plans are coming along quite well.

And you can come out WHENEVER you want... maybe you and Mom should plan to come around the same time and we could work on wedding stuff (like invitations?) if you wanted to!
